“And if you play golf, you are my friend”
Harvey Penick
Unlike a lot of the international courses, many of the private courses in the US are incredibly difficult to access – often the only way to do so is to know a member who is willing to host you at their club. While I do have golf contacts in the Atlanta area, I am not so fortunate outside of Georgia. That’s where you come in!
If you are a member (or know one) at an interesting private club, either on one of these lists or not, I’d love to hear from you! I certainly don’t expect a blind invitation to your club, but I would very much like to make your acquaintance and see if we have any common interests. Some of the most fascinating people I have met have been as a result of a random pairing while playing golf.
Of course, if you do ultimately decide to extend an invitation to your club, I would expect to arrange my own transportation and lodging as well as cover all other associated costs, including guest and potential caddie fees where required. Please be assured that I am not looking for anything other than introduction and the experience and will be more than happy to reciprocate in any way that I am able.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope the golfing gods smile on you today and every day!
