The second course on our trip to Liverpool was the Southport & Ainsdale Golf Club, site of the 1933 & 1937 Ryder Cup. Unfortunately, you don’t often hear too much about this course due to its more well-known neighbors, but it is a fantastic test of golf. I didn’t take a lot of pictures as I was still suffering from a bit of jet-lag, but here are the ones I have.
Interestingly, the course starts out with a Par 3. Here is the 1st tee

Final Thoughts: If you are going to be in the area, do not miss playing Southport & Ainsdale Golf Club. The members and the course were both fantastic and welcoming. Also, don’t do what I did and forget to get a sausage roll at the half-way house – they are supposed to be the best in England!
