We played Chambers Bay in 2009 as the 2nd course on our Oregon trip. Unfortunately, it was still raining from the day before, so the drive up to Seattle and the lead up to our round was quite wet. Chambers Bay was the site of the 2010 US Amateur Championship as well as the 2015 US Open Championship won by Jordan Speith in dramatic fashion over Dustin Johnson. During that event, many of the pros were complaining about the greens, claiming that it was like putting on broccoli but we didn’t really experience any issues in that area.
Here we are on the 1st tee getting ready to start our round. And yes, it was cold and wet.

Final thoughts: I really enjoyed Chambers Bay and think it got a bit of a bad rap in the US Open. I would definitely go back and play it again.
