I was invited to visit Pinehurst by a former co-worker and friend Tim. At the time, he was a member of both Pinehurst and Forest Creek, so it made for a really fun weekend. Of the 3 courses, #4 was my favorite despite the fact that we played most of the round in a monsoon. The redesign by Gil Hanse in 2018 was incredibly well done and I would put this course on-par with #2.
Final thoughts: Pinehurst #4 is a definite must play if you are in the area. Not quite as much in-demand as #2, I believe it is every bit as good if not maybe a little bit better.
