We went straight from the airport to Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland. Tyler, the organizer of our group, had arranged for us to play this private course which had been the venue for the LPGA Safeway Championship before the tournament moved to Pumpkin Ridge. Unfortunately, the weather had other ideas so we had to wait a couple of hours before we could tee off. Once we were finally able to get started, this turned out to be the surprise diamond in the rough course for the entire trip.

Final thoughts: If you are in the Portland area and have the chance to play Columbia Edgewater, take it! The course is wonderful.
